With news that the price of gasoline will inevitably spike to $4 per gallon this spring, I am breaking out my bicycle. My aim is to only use my car when I have to cart people around, or buy a huge load of groceries. I think a fair price for gasoline is around $2.50 per gallon. Of course, there is a huge chase between what I think is fair and what actually happens. Here's my math:
My car gets 32 miles per gallon. I drive on average 150 miles per week. That's roughly 5 gallons of gas. At $4 per gallon, I will spend roughly $20 per week just on gas. If the price were where I think it ought to be, I'd spend $12.50 per week. Take that out over 52 weeks, and I'm spending a little north of $400 extra on gas for the year. That's $400 extra ...

I should learn my lesson. This was the 12th year in a row I didn't win a single football pool. A friend of mine does one every week. Him, 10 of our friends, and me. 12 people. You'd think that somewhere in those 12 years I'd catch a break. I mean, it's only $5 to get in, but still. I hope that weekly $5 donation I've been making has gone to starving children in India. I heard you can feed 10 children a day with money like that. If so, than I've spent enough in losing football pools to feed my own football team full of orphans from India.
For no particular reason...

I spent the last night looking at old football highlights on YouTube. And watching the new Selena Gomez video. Ok, and videos of kittens doing silly things. I was pretty bored.
