Slip and Bleed

I was walking around my neighborhood the other day when I saw one of these things:  an old school Slip and Slide.  I remember begging Mom and Dad for one when I was a kid.  Nothing beat a hot summer day more than setting that on the lawn, plugging in the hose, and going to town.  My friend was the most popular kid on the block because he had one.  And I was jealous.  Alas, having one myself wasn't meant to be.  I guess that's a good thing, since our lawn was more rocks than grass, anyway.  That certainly wouldn't have been any fun.

Fanny Hill

I remember taking in a show at the Fanny Hill Dinner Theatre in 2001.  I enjoyed myself, but haven't found myself going back there since.  Has it changed at all?  I wonder if it's still the same cast of characters...

Chickens

I heard on the news today that the city of Eau Claire will not be allowing residents to own chickens on their property.  In other words, if you want chickens, you better own a farm.  That makes sense to me.  It's tough enough to weave around the neighborhood in my scooter while trying to avoid all the kids, dogs, and parked cars.  I couldn't handle dealing with chickens, too.  Those guys are shifty.  Just when you think they are going to cross in front of you, they suddenly decide to bolt over to the other side of the road, just because they had to get there.  And I don't care what anyone says...chickens make a lot of noise, and they are more annoying than the neighbor dog that always yips at 6 in the morning.
What was the last "unconventional" pet you owned?
